IrMaria is a student animated short film inspired by the devastating impact of Hurricanes Irma and Maria on the U.S. Virgin Islands. Created by a team of artists led by Christopher Lawrence, the film reflects on the emotional and physical aftermath of one of the most destructive hurricane seasons in recent history. Set in the Virgin Islands, a young girl and her mother experience one of the world’s most powerful hurricanes. IrMaria presents a personal perspective on survival, loss, and resilience during the storm and its aftermath.
