The 310 series is a 3 roll initial pinch plate roll. We go over the features, user, controls, rolling procedure. The features/characteristics of a 310 series are the roll configuration being the initial pinch 3 roll style, swing out top roll, and the all electric design. This machine is designed for job shops/custom fab shops were they have lower production and do a lot of one offs and custom work. The HVAC industry also likes this style because they don't perform a prebend so they can do production on this machine. All in all the 310 series is a great priced machine to give you the capacity of doing whatever job comes through the door. The 310 series plate roll comes standard with a footswitch for forward and reverse rotation. The pinch roll and bending roll are raised a lowered via handwheels. The bending roll has a mechanical readout to display its position. You can upgrade to a powered bending roll adjustment and an electric digital readout. You can also upgrade to a rolling console control as well. The rolling procedure should start with adjusting your pinch roll position for the thickness of your material that you are rolling. You want to grip it just tight enough to pull the material through. You then want to perform a Prebend by going to the backside of the machine and inserting your material in the starting groove on the pinch roll. Then raise the bending roll to the desired position and run the machine in reverse for a little bit creating a small bend on the leading edge. Next go to the front of the machine and insert the prebend side into the starting groove and run your material in until it hits the bending roll. Then raise the bending roll to compensate for how much the part sprung open and because the material rolls differently when pushing it against the far roll. Once adjusted roll your part completely around being careful to stop it right before it comes out between the pinch/top rolls. Then open the latch handle to release the pressure and swing out the top roll and remove your workpiece.
