MST3K - Favorite Moments - Teenage Crime Wave

In episode 522 we are back in juvenile delinquency territory. (Just how many of these were made in the 50's?) A couple of juvenile delinquents escape from prison and end up on a farm where they take the elderly family hostage (including the rather elderly looking and quite ineffective son). They are, however, nice enough to bring their "friend" on this wonderful vacation to the country (murder, kidnapping and hostage taking all included, no extra expenses). This brings us to endless action-packed scenes of Bible reading, smoking, and phone ringing. Oh, and we get to se them watch television as well... The whole thing reaches it climactic conclusion in, of all places, Griffith Observatory in L.A. Now, who didn't see that coming!? (Small note to all potential delinquents: Don't try to blend into a crowd when everybody has left!) Look out for officer platitude, Thelma and Louise (and Steve), Elvis Costello's back-up band, a suit of pressed oatmeal, a free dental check, a cop with a matching purse, a disembodied voice, an action date (dinner, movie, and a mugging), the floppy arm of the law, the whacking of Eleanor Roosevelt, a house with a whole other room, a weirdly screaming cop, tying of an ass to a tree, miner parents, Whistler's delinquent, living room action, a cryptic hoodlum, a golden Hitler award, an oven-cleaning Bible, the threatening of curtains, the inventor of the steak, poking of cows, a girl making a double Nintendo, the cast of Grease, an intimate shoot-out, ambivalent parking, observatory maintenance, slinky guy, and a teen-age cry wave. Enjoy!
