Yamaha TTR125 Carb Replacement: Nibbi PE24 Round Slide

I struggled with getting a PWK 24 mm carb to work properly with my bike. I just couldn’t get the jetting right. I switched to a Nibbi PE 24 round slide carb and it’s jetted perfectly out of the box. I’ve had to do nothing to it other than enjoy riding my bike. This was a lot of work to make the carb fit because the length is wrong and the diameter on the carb is wrong to fit the intake system on the Yamaha. But with a lot of effort, I was able to make it work on the stock airbox with no air leaks and perfect drivability. I’m very happy with the upgrade, though, including the cost of the carb I ultimately spent about $120 to make this happen.  I also performed this modification so that I could use the same carb on another Yamaha TTR 125 motor that I have. That motor is in a Kayo mini GP road racer. The jetting is equally perfect on that bike ending the struggles to make the PWK carb work. I’m using a pod filter instead so I did not need the carbon fiber ring modification to make the carb work on the mini GP bike. There’s no dirtbike airbox to have to fit up to.
