I went to Hokkaido in autumn using the "Adult Holiday Club Pass" that can be purchased from age 50. It was a 4-night, 5-day trip staying in Otaru, Asahikawa, Sapporo, and Hakodate. This was my second time purchasing the pass and I chose (East Japan + Hokkaido)! It was 26,200 yen (purchased online) for 5 days (limited time) unlimited rides and 6 reserved seats. A one-way ticket from Tokyo to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto was 23,230 yen, so it was a "divine ticket" that was worth it even if you just went round trip. \(^o^)/ [Day 1] From Tokyo to Otaru. I left on the Hayabusa 1 at 6:32 from Tokyo Station! I changed to the Hokuto Express at Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station and headed to Sapporo. I enjoyed the spectacular view of Uchiura Bay from the train window. I took the Rapid Airport from Sapporo to Otaru. I got off at Minami-Otaru Station and started exploring! From the fairy tale intersection, we visited the Otaru Canal and headed to the hotel. For dinner, we had delicious sushi🍣. [Day 2] From Otaru to Asahikawa🚆 We got up early and had a silver cod set meal for breakfast at Sankaku Market. After arriving in Asahikawa, we had lunch (meat rice) and went to the popular Asahiyama Zoo🐺 We were soothed by the cute animals, including penguins, seals, polar bears, wolves, and brown bears. For dinner, we had Asahikawa soy sauce ramen🍜. [Day 3] From Asahikawa to Sounkyo → Sapporo🚄 We went to Sounkyo to see the autumn leaves. We took the Kurodake Ropeway🚡 to the 5th station, and from the ropeway we were able to see the best autumn leaves🍁😆 We then took the lift to the 7th station and enjoyed a walk in the great outdoors! We also enjoyed a soak in the hot springs♨️ at Sounkyo (^O^) We moved to Sapporo and enjoyed dinner with friends! I was very satisfied with the fresh seafood🦪 and Sapporo miso ramen🍜! [Day 4] From Sapporo to Hakodate🚃 To Sapporo's newest attraction, the urban aquarium "AOAO SAPPORO". Although there are no large aquariums, I felt healing and amazed by the variety of creatures🐠🐧! After that, I visited the Sapporo TV Tower🗼 and the Sapporo Clock Tower before heading to Hakodate. I had Hakodate Shio Ramen🍜 for dinner and enjoyed the night view of Mt. Hakodate (one of the three best night views in the world)✨✨♪ [Day 5] From Hakodate to Tokyo🚅 I got up early again this day and had a salmon roe bowl for breakfast at Hakodate Morning Market Donburi Yokocho😁 After that, I went to Goryokaku Park and enjoyed the wonderful view from the tower's observation deck. Finally, I had a lunch of Genghis Khan before heading home.
