I think there's something meditative about this profession. With each sweep of the broom, you not only clean the street, but you also feel a sense of lightness. If only I could easily sweep all the disturbing thoughts, prejudices, and misconceptions out of my head, like trash. Psychologists claim that such routine work has a very positive effect on morale and relieves depression. I'm certainly not a psychologist, and I haven't studied this profession yet, but I can say for sure: despite the lack of sleep and fatigue—the work is, after all, challenging—my arms and legs began to ache within the first twenty minutes, and by the end they were completely gone, I felt content and joyful, which is rare for me in the mornings.
