Starting from Govind Ghat, this trek is 15 kilometers long. Valley of flowers is stunning high-altitude Himalayan valley and also a part of the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve. To reach the Valley of Flowers National park, first you have to go to Pulna which is 3 kilometers from Govindghat. There are sharing taxis from Govindghat to Pulna. In Pulna you have to do registration for Valley of Flowers. The Valley of flowers trek begins from Pulna. From Pulna you have to trek to Ghangharia which is 10 kilometers. The trek to Ghangaria is little steep at some places. There are many small dhabas on trek where you can have breakfast or lunch. From Ghangharia to Valley of flowers the trek is little difficult as the last 3 kilometers trek is steep. This trek involves walking through beautiful landscapes. The Valley of Flowers declared as national park in 1982 & then designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site later. Camping is not allowed inside the valley. Best time to visit the Valley of Flowers is between July to September. This time wildflowers are in full bloom & create breathtaking views there. Important Things To Remember about Valley of Flowers Trek : • The entry to Valley of Flowers begins after 7AM from Ghangharia • You have to buy ticket at Ghangharia to enter Valley of Flower National Park that costs 150/person • There are no shops in Valley of Flowers, so bring your food with you from Ghangharia • From Pulna to Ghangharia you can hire a mule. But these are not available from Ghanghatria to Valley of flowers • Start your trek from Ghangharia early because its often rains in Valley of Flowers after 11AM
