In today's episode of #TESTUJEMY at Night, I take you on a journey through the model's history, design details, and modern technologies that make the 308 P5 unique in the compact segment. 🦁 The History of Claws and Fangs – or How Filmmakers Influenced Design Few people know that Peugeot's distinctive rear claws were created during the filming of a 508 commercial. The film crew wanted the lights to look more dramatic. The designers immediately fell in love with the effect, and thus the "three lines – lion's claws" motif was born. And the famous fangs? That's an even better story. One of the 508 prototypes had a faulty LED module—instead of shining at an angle, the diodes were shining straight down. Instead of fixing this, the designers decided, "It looks like a fang. We'll leave it!" And so the prototype's defect became the brand's DNA, and today every Peugeot has its own fangs. 💡 Matrix LED and modern technologies The 308 P5 is Peugeot's first compact car with full Matrix LED technology, with individually dimmable diodes and a camera that detects other drivers.
