It was Nokia's first attempt for a clamshell design phone. It was also the first Nokia from so-called "fashion" phones, featured a unique design with fabric covers and was aimed at the fashion-conscious market They described it as "fashion-inspired" device, which "blends modern mobile technology with contemporary design trends". It has removable Xpress-on textile covers, front and back, with two variants for the secondary frames - black and white, to match the different variants of the textile covers. 🎥 The phone has monochrome external display, 96x36 pixels and VGA camera. The internal screen is relatively small as physical and resolution size, 128x128 only. Usually one of the major benefits of clamshell phones is that the manufacturer can fit bigger display compared to candy-bar type phones. 🔧 Other interesting feature is the hinge mechanism. It opens to about 150 degrees angle with no click sound, and you can manually push it all the way to 180 degree using the soft spring action. Maybe Nokia do this like a way to prevent snapping of the hinges, considering this was their first clamshell attempt, perhaps they were afraid of this and try to prevent it as much as possible?
