Exterior construction is expensive, isn't it? You want to do it yourself, but the materials are expensive, so it ends up costing you money... I'm sure you've heard that story before. This time, I built a fence using Sekisui's Mesh Fence M0 type, but the gate/door cost anywhere from 50,000 yen to 100,000 yen in some cases, and I almost gave up. But, as a DIYer, I couldn't give up now. I searched around for cheap hardware, hinges, and latches, and finally found some that just barely fit. By forcing the mismatched sizes to fit, even if it was just a few millimeters, I was able to make a gate for about 1/5 to 1/10 of the cost of a ready-made gate. If I had watched this video before starting on the M0 type, I think it would have been much easier to complete. In reality, it was a lot of work hammering and pulling the hardware... ^^; I hope this helps with your DIY projects.
