How to Add Sashing to T-Shirt Quilt Blocks for a T-Shirt Quilt

In today's video I am showing you how to add sashing and cornerstones to your T-Shirt Quilt. The sashing and cornerstones are a fun design element cut from quilting cotton. The fabric allows you to tie the T-Shirts together with a central color theme, which gives the eye a place to rest in between all the T-Shirt designs. The quilting cotton is also thinner than the T-Shirts with interfacing, so it helps keep the seams thinner and easier to work with. In the video I show you how to use strip-piecing to speed up the process of adding cornerstones to the sashing by sewing the fabric strips together first and then cutting them apart. Then we move on to sewing the sashing to the quilt block so it is ready to lay out in our next video lesson.
