The drill was experiencing problems when trying to drill holes in masonry in the hammer drilling position. Therefore, the ring gear (main gear that also houses half the hammer gear) and the intermediate plate (where one of the hammer function gear halves is housed) were inspected. They were found to be in an advanced state of wear, and the lever that switches between non-percussion drilling and hammer drilling functions also showed obvious wear. For this reason, it was decided to replace the aforementioned parts. However, before doing so, the machine housing and the mechanical parts, which were in good condition, were washed, and the lubricating grease used between these parts was subsequently replaced. The tool was assembled and tested to complete the repair.
