Hawkstone Brewery Showcase, does Jeremy Clarkson make Great Beer?

Following our recent visit to *Hawkstone Brewery* in the heart of the Cotswolds, we’ve selected three of their standout beers for this week’s tasting – **Hawkstone Pils, Hawkstone Premium Lager and Hawkstone IPA**. Many beer fans know Hawkstone through *Jeremy Clarkson* and Clarkson's Farm*, but the brewery's story actually began long before that. The brewery started life as the **Cotswold Brewing Company**, founded in 2005 by husband-and-wife team **Rick and Emma Keene* in Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire. Their vision was to produce high-quality, continental-style lagers at a time when most British craft breweries were focused on ales. Their first beer, *Cotswold Premium Lager**, quickly gained a reputation for quality and craftsmanship. In 2021, the brewery teamed up with Jeremy Clarkson, using barley grown on his Diddly Squat Farm to create **Hawkstone Lager**, before officially rebranding as **Hawkstone Brewery* in 2022. Tonight's line-up includes: 🍺 *Hawkstone Pils (3.8%)* – A crisp and refreshing pilsner with delicate floral aromas, citrus notes and a clean, bittersweet finish. 🍺 *Hawkstone Premium Lager (4.8%)* – The flagship beer that put Hawkstone on the map, delivering smooth malt character, subtle citrus flavours and exceptional drinkability. 🍺 *Hawkstone IPA (4.8%)* – A balanced and flavourful IPA packed with tropical fruit, zesty hops and a satisfyingly refreshing finish.
