Today I use Gillette Aristocrat 1934, Castle Forbes Lime, Semogue 820 and Gillette Platinum blades. Gillette Aristocrat 1934 is an open-comb safety razor that I personally consider wonderful, a true piece of traditional shaving history. I have been hunting for this almost century-old "boy" for almost 3 years. I was looking for a truly special vintage Gillette safety razor, an excellence. When I saw this wonderful example of Gillette Aristocrat 1934 it was love at first sight. I was lucky enough to find it almost perfect, without imperfections, with a practically perfect butterfly opening or TTO mechanism. Gillette Aristocrat Gold 1934 is a safety razor characterized by superb construction quality, considering it is a razor that is almost 100 years old. Without imperfections and with a truly incredible grip. Gillette Aristocrat 1934 is an Open Comb razor that many razors appreciate not only for its design and quality but also for its excellent effectiveness. Every time it is able to ensure an extremely comfortable and even deep shave if armed with high-performance blades. This obviously with my type of beard and skin and based on the matching blades. We will use it in combination with a shaving cream made by the well-known and prestigious manufacturer Castle Forbes shaving cream, which is certainly one of the shaving soaps that I appreciate very much. It is Castle Forbes Lime. The Castle Forbes Lime shaving cream, without parabens, vegetal, rich in essential oils, has a fresh and clean fragrance, perfect for the spring-summer season. A shaving cream with excellent smoothness and protection qualities and capable of leaving a high level post-shave. For our shaving brush, we use a truly excellent hog bristle shaving brush, the Semogue 820, with a top-quality bleached hog bristle tuft. With its slightly bristly tips and a truly subtle backbone, the Semogue 820 provides an excellent facial massage while lathering, as well as having the power to easily loosen the beard before using a safety razor. For razor blades, I chose Gillette Platinum blades. They're excellent, sharp, smooth, and effective. Definitely one of my favorites. We finish the shave with a flourish by using the aftershave that goes with the shaving cream: Castel Forbes Lime Afterbalm, elegant, fresh, and with a wonderful scent! See you soon with new shaves!
