Until 5 months ago, I knew nothing about mountaineering and I set myself my biggest challenge yet: to reach the summit of the highest mountain in the world in 2024. As some of you may have seen from my stories, I started training, running, climbing and also climbing in the Alps. To be able to climb Everest, I first have to climb other mountains to make sure I'm physically and technically ready, for my own safety and that of others. Today marks the 1st milestone in my training by attempting to climb the highest mountain in the Alps and the highest peak in Western Europe: Mont Blanc. Situated on the border between Italy and France, Mont Blanc culminates at 4808m. If I make it, it will be the highest mountain I've climbed so far. But on the eve of departure, the only thing going up is the stress ...
