This $112 Catering Order Carried the Entire Day

Delivery day in Las Vegas starting with an early morning catering and ending with a huge lunch catering payout. The day began before sunrise with a breakfast catering order. The pickup and drop-off were both simple, and the morning started with a great view of the sunrise. The catering was valued at about $200 and only traveled around two miles from pickup to drop-off. That order paid $22 and change. After breakfast, I transitioned into the lunch shift. Before heading to my scheduled catering pickup, I had enough time to complete a DoorDash order. Unfortunately, the drop-off turned into a bit of a headache. Nobody at the location seemed to know who the customer was, and the cell signal was so poor that I couldn’t call the customer or use the app properly. Since I was running close to my catering pickup time, I left the order in a safe location and moved on. The next catering was the highlight of the day. Pickup was on the north side of the Strip and the order filled several catering bags. The food value was over $1,100 and the drop-off was about 14 miles away at an office building. The route actually positioned me close to my home zone, making the mileage easier to justify. That catering paid $112. One of the better catering payouts I’ve had recently. After the drop-off, I stayed in the area and continued working. I completed additional deliveries on DoorDash and Uber Eats before wrapping up the shift. One sandwich shop order ended up taking more than 30 minutes to prepare and probably should have been dropped after the first 10 minutes. Lunch shift finished with: • $112 catering payout • $37 on DoorDash • $39 on Uber Eats The full day ended at approximately $212. No dinner shift was needed.
