There were failed tryouts and rejections that made her even consider quitting soccer. "There were times when I said: it's not for me anymore," she confesses. The university scholarship was the turning point. She enrolled in Software Engineering, regained her discipline, and started believing again. Between studies and training, she recovered the consistency that had characterized her since childhood. Until that call came. Mazatlán offered her a chance to prove herself. Her dad didn't hesitate: "Go, don't dwell on 'what if.'" She packed her bags… and the rest is history. The Leap to Professionalism The change was tough. More physical, more mental, more demanding. "I thought that because I was fast I'd leave everyone else behind, but there's so much more to it than that," she admits. Adapting to the pace, missing her family, and competing every day for a spot were all part of the process. However, she found something key: a united team. For Ámbar, Mazatlán's strength lies in its grit and internal communication. "We all help each other. If you're lacking something, they tell you and support you."
