Mike's Walk Around Wigton
Over the last weeks I have slowly been increasing my walking mileage, the plan is to walk the Cumbria Way, this is following on from the Hadrian's Wall Walk completed last year for BLESMA. Wigton has a number of walks and it has been nice to be able to link some of them together to be able to make a longer walk that requires a slightly higher level of fitness, I need to be able to do 8 to 10 miles per day to be able to complete this years challenge, so this walk is a substantial step towards that distance at 6.5 miles. My speed over the ground is very slow, 2 to 2.5 mph, but using crutches does allow me to maintain this speed, I also need to stop and reset constantly. There are some really nice places in and around Wigton, not always easily accessed, I hope this video helps to showcase some of them. I'd love to have your thoughts on the video. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wigton https://visitallerdale.co.uk/wigton/ https://www.lakedistrict.gov.uk/ https://www.solwaycoastaonb.org.uk/20... https://www.countryfile.com/go-outdoo... https://www.blesma.org/
