Rita Lobo teaches you how to make American PANCAKES with banana, yogurt, and honey. Simple and easy to prepare, the batter is ready in less than 5 minutes and is a delicious option for breakfast or an afternoon snack. #NhacGNT #RitaLobo #CozinhaPrática Ingredients: 1 ripe banana ½ cup all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon sugar ⅓ cup milk 1 egg 1 tablespoon oil (or melted butter) ½ teaspoon baking powder 1 pinch ground cinnamon 1 pinch salt Oil (or butter) for greasing Instructions: Crack the egg into a medium bowl. Add the sugar, cinnamon, and salt and whisk until foamy. Add the milk and oil and mix well. Add the flour and mix again to incorporate and break up any lumps. Let the batter rest for 10 minutes – this will make the pancake fluffier. After the resting time, stir in the baking powder. Peel and cut the banana into 0.5 cm slices. Heat a small nonstick skillet over medium heat (we used a 15 cm diameter skillet). Once heated, grease the bottom of the skillet with oil (or butter) using a paper towel. Place 1 ladle of batter in the center of the skillet – the pancake batter will form a round shape on its own; don't try to spread it with a spatula, as the pancake may stick together. Arrange half of the banana slices on top of the batter, side by side, and cook for 2 minutes, until the edges begin to set and the center of the batter puffs up around the bananas. Using a spatula, flip the pancake and cook over low heat for 2 minutes to brown the other side evenly. Transfer to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter, greasing the pan again.
