SÓ PRÁ NÓS (Ricardo Botter Maio) feat. CAROLINE ARTÊMIS (voice), RICARDO BOTTER MAIO (keyboard & percussion) & RODRIGO BOTTER MAIO (tenor sax) Dear friends, I hope you are all doing well! You cannot imagine how happy I am, posting the video Nr. 186 today and for many reasons: First of all because our beautiful guest and super singer CAROLINE ARTÊMIS has birthday today and I wish her all the best. Second reason is because we both love Ricardo's composition and as soon as they chose this one I thought: this is great and let's go for it. Third reason is that I understood that Ricardo didn't want to make any more projects or videos with me and after some years I told him this and he said: when did I say that? :-) So, here we are, all three together making music. A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND CAROLINE: One funny thing is that I never met Caroline personally but since decades I am very familiar with her voice because I believe that she is the singer that mostly recorded Ricardo's songs in many CDs and I really love her voice and the way she sings. But, after we started this production, that took me weeks and months, we exchanged a couple of emails, so that we could know us a little bit more, at least from far away. I confess that I was completely lost with this production, I had no idea how to start and I didn't want to use those windows that people always tell me "oh, those windows we used during the Corona pandemic"; I tried to make something really artistic, like they are. Them, when she saw one of my videos were I am playing that beautiful Ukrainian Ballad (I made 13 versions of it) she really liked the colors and wrote me: maybe you can use some of those filters? Ha ha, what she didn't know ist that at that point I had already a concept and I told her: we have so many interesting objects and colors that a filter won't be necessary :-) A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND RICARDO: Well, I can tell that I know this guy for about over 50 years and it is a pleasure to have him as my brother. Ricardo recorded me my first K7 with very nice songs (it started with Supertram and them some Progressive Rock songs in it). Can you imagine that I still have it here with me? Then: Imagine how happy I was when I was 13 years old, just started playing recorder (Blockflöte/flauta doce) and joined his GRUPO SUPERFÍCIE, playing in many bars (who remembers ARMAZÉM in Campinas?) and Festivals. I believe that I learned so much during that time. Also, because of him I listened during all my life Progressive Rock, something that I still love and listen to it. One day he listened to one of my songs and told me: if you would have listened to Progressive Rock you would never write that :-) Well, as you can believe, many, many stories and moments. I play in many of his CD's also. There are many videos with his music at Youtube and now on Instagram. Unfortunately not in the digital platforms yet. Oh, many songs by him on SOUNDCLOUD also. And here is the result of many hours and day of work. Of course I hope that they both will like it. Since the beginning of the production I had that idea, cheesing with the words SÓ PRÁ NÓS, só prá noz, sopra nós and I could not make the video without that MAKING OF. I hope they won't get angry with that. In these hard world and days that we live, a little humor is very healthy.
