Gift Mathonsi & Mulalo Kharivhe: Beholding Christ & Our Identity in Him

In this message, we continue exploring Kingdom Living by learning about God's purpose for humanity, our identity in Christ and the transforming power of beholding Jesus. Beginning in Genesis 1:26, we discover that humanity was created in the image and likeness of God to reflect His nature, character and rule on the earth. Through Christ, that original design is restored as we learn to live from our true identity as sons and daughters of God. Drawing from 2 Corinthians 3:18, we see that transformation is not achieved through striving, but through beholding Jesus. As we spend time in His presence, in His Word, and in prayer, we are progressively transformed into His likeness by the Holy Spirit. Jesus reminds us in John 15:5 that apart from Him we can do nothing. Kingdom living flows from abiding in Christ, remaining connected to Him as our source of life, strength and fruitfulness. In this sermon, we explore: • God's original design for humanity • Understanding our identity in Christ • The relationship between beholding and becoming • How the Word of God shapes our thinking and character • The role of prayer in abiding in Christ • Living as image-bearers who reflect God's Kingdom on earth May this message encourage you to behold Jesus daily, abide in His presence and walk confidently in the identity He has given you.
