Designing & 3D Printing Dog Tags - How To Create a Relief for a Coin or Dog Tag with Depth & Detail

In this video I show you how to design a dog tag in Fusion 360. Then we create detailed artwork to put on the dog tag and print it. The artwork on a coin is called a relief. If you just take a 3d image and squish it down to be only a few mm thick, it work look right. You will lose all depth and detail. So I show you how to create a depth map to use to create a relief. This video includes a short tutorial on making the dog tag in Fusion 360. Then I also use a mac program called Cheetah3D to create the artwork. I also have the blank dog tag up on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:454... I print the dog tags with the Phrozen Transform using the 5.5 inch option.
