Solomon Mahlangu's story told through film entitled 'Kalushi'
Solomon Mhlangu is a freedom fighter who after being falsely accused of murder and terrorism in 1977, was executed under the apartheid regime. Mahlangu uttered these words before being put to death: "My blood will nourish the tree that will bear the fruits of freedom. Tell my people I love them. They must continue the fight." Almost 40 years later, a South African filmmaker has decided to tell Mahlangu' story through the creation of a riveting biopic - Kalushi. Kalushi is one of the top nominated South African films in this year's Rapid Lion Film Festival and will see its international debut at the South African festival which is set to take place on the 12th of March. We are now joined in studio by the Director of Kalushi Mandla Dube and actor Thabo Rametsi. For more News visit: http://www.sabc.co.za/news
