ARRIVING AT KUALA LUMPUR Airport in Malaysia - International Flight Arrival Process at KLIA

In this Kuala Lumpur Airport video, we show you what the Kuala Lumpur International Airport arrival process was like for us when we visited Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia earlier this year. We arrived on an international flight from Doha with Qatar Airways. We show you our steps from disembarkation of the aircraft, the apron transfer by bus (which is normally done on the Aerotrain), our walk to Passport Control / Immigration, then to Baggage Reclaim, followed by the walk up to Customs, and after Customs, until we end up in the Kuala Lumpur Arrivals Hall. In the Arrivals Hall, we show you where the Currency Exchange Bureau is, where to find ATM machines to withdraw cash, and where you can buy SIM Data Cards in the Arrivals area. We chose to take a GRAB taxi (Southeast Asia’s version of Uber) from the airport to Kuala Lumpur city center. We ordered the GRAB via the GRAB App, and we also show you where the GRAB pick-up point is at the airport. On the way there, we also pass the lifts that take you down to the KLIA Ekspres Airport Train. Please note: normally, when arriving at Kuala Lumpur Airport’s Satellite Terminal, passengers can take the Aerotrain to the main terminal. However, the Aerotrain was closed for renovations when we arrived. As of 1 July 2025, the Aerotrain is back in service at KL Airport.
