DIY Faux Stained Glass That Actually Glows!

I made a faux stained glass wall art piece that actually glows — and I'm obsessed with how it turned out! In this stained glass tutorial, I walk you through my entire DIY process for creating a backlit glass art panel from scratch. If you love whimsical, gothic home decor and DIY wall art projects, you might have fun here! Using glass painting techniques and a handmade wooden frame with LED backlighting, I turned a simple sheet of glass into a glowing stained glass artwork inspired by old church windows. It's part painting tutorial, part craft tutorial, part home decor transformation. This is a great project for anyone who loves mixed media art and wants to add something truly unique to their space — no gallery glass or resin required!
