Mini Lathe Carriage Lock - Essential Upgrade
A carriage lock is a standard feature on most lathes, but on these little import lathes, they are usually not included, in a bit to keep the cost down. For large facing cuts, or cuts that require the use of the lathe's top slide, a carriage lock is essential. Thankfully they can be easily be upgraded with 3 bolts and some mild steel square bar from the local hardware store.
