Quick sketching technique: Fountain pen and water-brush
In this video I demonstrate a technique using a fountain filled with semi-waterproof ink and a water brush. This technique allows you to create a pen and ink and ink wash drawing using very limited means, and is perfect for urban sketchers or anyone looking for a portable and compact way to draw. Water-resistance in inks varies greatly, from very low to entirely waterproof. Some inks are semi-resistant to water, however, and this property can be exploited by using the water-soluble element in the ink to create wash-like effects. In this video I'm using Noodlers Brown, but I'm certain that quite a number of inks would work quite as well.
