Fine Art Portrait Photography: stART to finish self-portrait “Unburden Yourself”

One of the most fun things to do as a self portrait photographer is to draw inspiration for my art from objects I’ve collected. I consider my self portraits to be fine art photography because I also draw a lot of inspiration from other art mediums such as: painting, drawing and collaging. So when looking for ideas for your next self portrait look no further than what you already have in your own home. If you are not a self-portrait or fine art photographer and stumbled across this video, I invite you to watch. In about 10 minutes I take you from concept sketching, to photographing my idea (in my very tiny home office) to speed editing to create a surreal work of art (limited edition prints linked below). I am Anna, a self-portrait and nature photographer currently based near Denver, Colorado. I am also a cycle instructor at a few local gyms! I grew up in Caracas, Venezuela and that is the whole reason I fell in love with photography as a young child. Self-portrait photography allows me to be anyone I want to be. My art often reflects important topics around fear, darkness and light and more recently starting conversations around miscarriage and still birth. Teaching has always been a love of mine and I am flattered when you request to learn things from me :) Thank you for being here with me!
