Flyndresnurrevad - Del 1

Demersal seines are effective for catching flatfish. If they are to be used along the Norwegian coast, the bycatch of cod needs to be minimized. In this research project, a new seine design is tested. The seine is dragged along the sea bottom, and its opening is only 60-70 cm high. It catches the flounders on the sea bed, whereas cod and haddock both swim over it and escape.
