How to Make a Post-Operative Silicon Ear Mold
The post-operative silicon ear mold, which should be worn when the patient sleeps during the first four months following surgery, is used both to protect the ear's shape and to help reduce swelling by applying gentle pressure. A new mold should be made whenever the current mold becomes too loose to stay on while the patient sleeps.
