I traveled through Oita and Miyazaki prefectures in a camper van with my beloved dog. I took a nap at the Nagayu Onsen Tourist Information Center. As a surprise from my husband, we went to a hidden scenic spot called "Umagase". It was tough taking my dog, Mii, in a cart along the uphill and downhill roads, but the view was breathtaking and definitely worth seeing. I bought a hebes soft-serve ice cream at Umagase Teahouse. Hebes is a fragrant citrus fruit native to Hyuga City, Miyazaki Prefecture. It is characterized by its refreshing aroma and mellow acidity. It was a delicious and refreshing soft-serve ice cream. Usually I tend to forget... We also enjoyed collecting stamps at roadside rest areas.
