Astro System Comparison Tool: Going Beyond Focal Ratios!

Modern astrophotography systems are more complicated than a single focal ratio, camera spec, or filter label can capture. In this video, I introduce my Astro Systems Comparison Tool and walk through what it is designed to do, how to use it, and how to make sense of the output. The point of the tool is not just to produce a winner. It is to compare two complete imaging systems on shared terms and show what is actually driving the result. We look at broadband and narrowband examples, including a mono vs. OSC narrowband comparison, and then go a little deeper into the supporting material built into the tool, including the Deep Dives, FAQ, and Technical Appendix. I also cover some of the system refinements and limitations so the results are interpreted in the right context. You can find the tool here: https://cosgrovescosmos.com/software-...
