They are pivotal in communicating, demonstrating and policing safety management policies and procedures to ensure the correct safety behaviours on the ground. The range of tools and techniques to achieve this safety leadership rely on very effective people skills. Yet often we see supervisors or shift-team leaders who are not fully confident to engage, coach and present information to their teams.
