Surviving the Summer Solstice Heatwave in an MSR FreeLite 1

I headed out onto Worcestershire farmland to test my MSR FreeLite 1 tent during the UK's summer solstice heatwave. With temperatures pushing into the mid-30s across parts of England and red heat alerts issued across the Midlands, it was the perfect opportunity to see how this lightweight backpacking tent copes with extreme summer conditions. The summer solstice brings the longest daylight hours of the year, with Worcester enjoying almost 17 hours of daylight, making for a very late sunset and an early sunrise. If you're into lightweight backpacking, wild camping, microadventures, stealth camping, hiking, gear testing, or simply curious how ultralight tents perform in real British weather, this one is for you Training for bigger wild camping adventures, exploring local trails, and scouting future camp spots. Not every hike ends with a camp, but every adventure is part of the journey. "Enjoying the outdoors?
