In your opinion, is it normal to be nervous when solo flying? I'll be doing my 3-hour prep soon, and checkride shortly after. When I fly with my instructor, I'm rarely nervous..I actually find it enjoyable to be flying. However, when I flew my solo hours in the past, I found myself to be nervous. The pickups, sit downs, even hovering didn't bother me, it's just the actual flying - flying the pattern for example. I think sometimes, if a caution or warning light was to come on, would I know what to do. Or if I had to auto because of an engine failure, could I safely perform the maneuver. Do you think others feel the same? Is this a feeling, that perhaps after more solo seat time, will fade away? Is there a point where you just become so confident it doesn't bother you anymore? I think it would be an interesting video topic to see if others feel the same, of if it's common among other pilots. Thanks, I enjoy watching your videos.
