In the second part of Savarkar's Biography, we witness a huge transformation in Savarkar's thoughts and in his life. The tortures experience of Andaman jail made him think of suicide. He wrote many Mercy petitions to the British government. In Mercy's petitions, he did not only regret his revolutionary past but also offered his voluntary services to the British government in exchange for his freedom.
