Quad Setup on the Firewire Groove – Better or Worse?

Firewire Groove Quad vs Thruster – Is the Quad Setup Worth It? I took the Firewire Groove out for another surf in a quad fin setup to see how it compares to my first impressions of riding it as a thruster. Coming straight off the Too Fish, a twin fin designed by Rob Machado, the Groove felt really different, but in a good way. It was fast, held speed well, and allowed for solid turns, but I wasn’t entirely sure about the quad setup just yet. If you’re considering the Groove and wondering whether to get a three-fin (thruster) setup, a quad setup, or the full five-fin option, this video might help you decide. My early take?
