FD RX7 Dash Bezel Tab Repair and Gauge Cluster LED Lights
Picking up where we left off in the last video, I make the final repairs to the radio bezel. This includes repairing the broken tabs using my hot stapler (link below). It is a very handy tool to have and I find all sorts of uses for it. After the tabs are fixed, I need to fill in some of the scratches and pitting with 2 part epoxy. While I let the epoxy dry, I install new LED lights in my gauge cluster. I discuss the bulb types and colors as well as some tricks to consider during the install. Since I recorded this video, I have done some testing and found that some of the LEDs remained dimly lit at all times the ignition was in the on position. I decided to swap those with standard E74 bulbs. If you found this video helpful smash that like button! If you have any suggestions or tips for other viewers, comment down below. The OE bulb size is E74 which has a slightly thinner base. 74 will work, but will have to be forced to fit the sockets.
