Sacramento Light Rail Of April 2026

Sacramento Regional Transit light rail trains throughout the month of April 2026. This month or technically, the very last couple of days of March 2026, the Dos Rios construction site returned to double tracking as the new inbound track was completed and opened for trains to use. Also at the start of this month, the Arden/Del Paso Station on the Blue Line was reopened after platform modification construction. Also this month, platform conversations construction was started and or completed at the Watt/I-80, Watt/I-80 West, and Marconi/Arcade Stations. As you can see, two more Siemens S700 train cars have entered service on the Gold Line after testing which are car 430 and 431. This crossing are the 2nd and 3rd cars of delivery batch 3 that have entered service. 430 entered service with not yet finished announcements and system since I caught it with Downtown headsigns and the original Siemens S700 Gong Sound. This month, there unfortunately was another accident involving the S700 train cars as a vehicle drove around the crossing gates at Mills Park Dr which ended up being fatal. Also, has taken another S700 car out of service which was car 408. Now we have S700 cars 407, 422, 425, and 408 out of service due to accidents.
