TOAHT5 Heiva 'Ori Tahiti Nui International 2021, 2nd place (16-19) Advanced. Kristine Velasquez
Kristine traveled with our group to Tahiti in 2018 where we went on a learning excursion of ‘ori, it’s fenua, it’s florals, plants and yummy food! As part of our lessons, we learned how to make corn beef and fried uru. We were all delighted in the delicacy and wish to travel back to Tahiti just for uru, and steak frites. And of course, to continue learning of the beautiful culture. Kristine wanted to show her love for the tree of life and it’s breadfruit. She holds fond memories of the food, the land and it’s people and hopes to return soon!
