Alabama Railfanning At Its Finest! TWO Heritage Units and EPIC Consists!!

6/18 - 6/19/21: After leaving Memphis, I arrived in Alabama on the evening of the 18th. My first stop was Decatur in Northern Alabama where the NS and CSX cross the Tennessee River. Immediately I was greeted by an NS Intermodal Train with the NS 1071 CNJ Heritage Unit leading! That was a great surprise! I then moved to Birmingham where I would stay for the night, and the action was great. Some great consists showed up including a KCS SD70MAC, NS 1069, a KCS Trio, and more! The next morning, I didn't have too long to stay, but the action was great for the short amount of time I was there and one train had an absolutely INSANE trio of locomotives on the head end! Not a trio I ever thought I would see... Overall, it was a quick but great stop back in Alabama!
