Target: striped sea bream and gilt-head bream. Spring has arrived, and this period (April-May) represents a transitional period between the pure surfcasting season, which is now ending, and the beach ledgering/PAF season, which is just beginning. Armed with sand worms and frozen bibi, we head to the beach to fish for striped sea bream and gilt-head bream in calm seas and a back wind. This wind is a strategic ally in many fishing situations, allowing us to extend our casts even further, which is crucial in spots where the grazing fish are well beyond 100 meters (though in this case, it wasn't actually necessary to push our baits too far). We'll also look at two different rigs for bottom fishing for striped sea bream and gilt-head bream.
