'A Shared Secret' is the title of this mixed-media bird study featuring two feral pigeons. This drawing is another study in my ongoing bird series, but it is the first one in which I explored the bird’s full range of colours. Working with such vibrant hues was both a new challenge and a fascinating experience for me. You may notice throughout the video that I approached the two birds differently, which made this project particularly interesting and allowed me to experiment with my process. The materials used for this piece include: Faber-Castell Polychromos, Caran d’Ache Luminance, Prismacolor Premier, Caran d’Ache Pablo, Rembrandt watercolours by Royal Talens, and a single Schmincke Horadam gouache.
