In this video I'm testing 454 casull against 45-70 cartridge. Both being fired from a rifle using copper jacketed soft point bullets there are 300 grains and traveling around 1900' per 2nd period. This video is purely for entertainment purposes as well as educational ditional. Please be sure to practice firearms safety whenever you are out using these magnificent tools for recreational fun. Water jugs are a good testing medium for penetration test with cartridges because it is easy to get your hands on water jugs and compare them to other people's tests on water jugs. While there might be other ways to test bullet penetration I do enjoy this one because the splash of the water is fun to watch and also it can be easily compared To other tests on the Internet or other tests that 1 may wish to perform later on.
