Trekking In Northern Alborz - IRAN

The northern Alborz mountains offer the most stunning landscapes in spring. These areas, benefiting from the moisture of the Caspian Sea, are rich in lush meadows and pastures. In spring 2025, I traveled with a group of fellow hikers to one of these locations. Our three-day trek in the northern Alborz began in the heights of Tonekabon and, after crossing flower-filled plains and flowing rivers, we reached remote pastures. These pastures are home to local herders during the summer season.
