Miss Universe Finland - Using my voice to Mind the Future I, Matilda Wirtavuori, Miss Universe Finland 2024, am driven by my deep commitment to breaking the stigma that prevents open discussions about mental health. Having faced my own battle with an eating disorder, I know firsthand the importance of support in overcoming mental health challenges. Increasingly many adolescents, particularly in Finland, are struggling with anxiety and depression, and I believe early intervention is key to helping them build better futures. Through my project, Mind the Future, I offer free workshops and therapy for young people, as I want to give them the tools and support I needed in my own journey. By sharing my story, I hope to break down the stigma that still surrounds mental health and provide a sense of hope. My mission is clear: to show that no matter the internal battles we face, hope and recovery are possible. I wish to encourage the society to take care of the young minds who will shape our future.
