HAPPY ONE WEEK SHEPHERD! HERE IS THE BIRTH VLOG! (: There were so many prayers and times of fasting that went into this day, and we truly saw the Lord honor it because we could not have asked for a more seamless pregnancy and birth. Not to say there weren’t some hiccups along the way, like me having GBS, chorioamnionitis, and both me and the baby running a fever. Not to mention Shepherd’s heart rate kept spiking at birth. So was it easy? Absolutely not. Although there has been so much grace on this pregnancy and we have heard the word “perfect” from doctors countless of times, there were times it was not easy… I had to constantly think myself happy and strengthen myself in the Lord (Acts 26:2; 1 Samuel 30:6). So it’s not me; it’s me running to the Lord for strength time and time again. So it may “look easy,” but I’ve found that when we live our lives running to the Lord when we are weak, He makes hard things look easy. Through it all, the Lord was so present, and there was so much peace and protection over both of us throughout the whole pregnancy, delivery, and recovery. Not because of us, but only the Lord through us. Our life has been summed up in one verse: “Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.” Psalm 115:1 NIV @@@   / edenselff     / samselff
