Why RPG Maker Games Get a Bad Reputation
Welcome to the Thrall Developers Showcase! In this episode, I just wanted to discuss some thoughts I had on RPG Maker games and why they end up getting a bad reputation. All of this is my opinion. Mostly this is random thoughts tied together with specific talking points while I work on one of my game maps. Thrall is an indie action Rogue-lite with RPG elements. This game features pseudo-random dungeon generation with an artistic style, a combat system similar to the classic ATB style Final Fantasy games, a randomized loot system and skill tree system similar to the original Borderlands games, and a branching narrative story structure for additional replayability. Thrall is a passion project expected to be completed in 2025, and will be completely free upon release. Follow the development of Thrall on rpgmaker.net! https://rpgmaker.net/games/12859/
