San Giovanni di Sinis Funtana Meiga 4k Cabras OR Sardegna

In #Sardinia west, just north of the Gulf of #Oristano, you will find the beautiful beach of San Giovanni di Sinis, in the commune of #Cabras. The beach of San Giovanni is a beautiful expanse of clear white sand, rather fine, soft and warm, with the presence of some spotted posidonia. Protected by its shores from small sandy dunes covered with shrubs and other vegetation, it faces a beautiful shining sea with shades of blue, turquoise and light emerald green. It has a shallow and sandy backdrop with some boulders and rocks in some of the beach spots. Quite busy in the summer months, it is also the destination of surfers who fend off the maestrale to climb on their own tables. Behind the beach are the villages of the small village of #SanGiovanni, while south, towards Cape San Marco, we find the ruins of #Tharros. South of the beach there is the Torre di San Giovanni, the second largest coastal tower in Sardinia after that of Torre Grande, built between the XV and XVI century. Just beyond, there are the ruins of the ancient Phoenician-Punic city of Tharros, which according to recent studies, could have much older origins than Phoenicians. quote www.traccedisardegna.it
