War of Independence Interview Series: Part 3

This is the third in a four part series on the War of Independence in Co. Wexford brought to you by Wexford County Council Public Library Service as part of the commemoration of the decade of centenaries. The RIC formed an integral part of the British administration in Ireland. The RIC were the first line of defence against any challenge to British authority. In this episode Jarlath Glynn is joined by Michael Kelly from Wexford, who is the grandson of one of these RIC men. On February 2nd, 2020, a ceremony took place in New Ross to honour Martin Doyle, VC. Jarlath is joined by Leighton Thomas, the great-grandnephew of Martin Doyle. Ronan McGreevy also joins Jarlath in this programme. Ronan has written about Martin Doyle and is an expert on Irish soldiers in World War 1.
